I was widowed 10 years ago when 2 of my 3 children were 14 and 17. My children (who are without a doubt MY PASSION in life) are now 34, 29, and 26. I don't know how I did it, and there were many days I wanted to give up, but they are all well educated, fun, loving people and I am so proud of them. I am not so proud of me - don't get me wrong, I have always been a self confidant, assertive woman but I haven't been out of my comfort zone since my husband's death. I did not imagine that at this stage of my life I would be alone. I am a ferocious reader, enjoy theater and travel - and most of these things I do alone. I moved to DC 3 years ago.
